Summer Employment Opportunities

Now is the time to start thinking about what you would like to do for a summer job. The Community Services Department offers a variety of employment opportunities in our parks and qplex pool. Job application forms are now available on-line as well as for pick up at the Quispamsis Town Hall. Applications will be received until April 1, 2015. Please remember to include your resume. All applicants must complete the provincial government SEED grant program process as well.

Pushing snow onto road may lead to fines

Pushing snow onto town streets is illegal and subject to a fine.

Gary Losier, the Quispamsis director of engineering and works, is asking residents to refrain from moving snow into the street from their properties. It hampers visibility and causes difficulties for motorists and pedestrians.

“We understand and appreciate that people are frustrated with the heavy snowfall over the last few weeks,” Losier said, “but plowing or blowing snow onto previously plowed streets is a matter of public safety. It’s dangerous, it’s contrary to the town bylaws, and it’s not acceptable.”

The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force is prepared to issue tickets to violators.

Nominate An Outstanding Volunteer

Do you know someone in Quispamsis who should be recognized for their outstanding volunteer efforts? If so, nominate them for the 2015 Volunteer Recognition Award. These unique individuals will be honoured at a special presentation by Mayor and Council on April 21st. Recipients will be presented with a certificate and small token of appreciation from the Town.Submissions will be accepted until Thursday, March 26th.
