Be Prepared, Not Scared

The Kennebecasis Valley Emergency Measures Organization will be hosting an emergency preparedness seminar on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. at the qplex. The session, which will be led by KVEMO director Brian Shanks, will help residents prepare for the winter season. It will include representatives from the Canadian Red Cross, the Kennebecasis Valley Fire Department and Kennebecasis Regional Police.
The area has experienced two severe storms in the last 10 months that left thousands without power for an extended period. Shanks says it's important to be prepared, not scared.
The seminar is free, and no registration is required.
