Meenan`s Cove

Meenan’s Cove Picnic Shelter – the Meenan’s Cove Beach Picnic Shelter is ideal for summer bbq’s, family reunions, birthday parties, family gatherings and staff picnics. The shelter is open for the general public to use or it can be booked in advance for special events. The shelter is equipped with 4 bbq’s and 4 picnic table which hold about 32 adults comfortably (extra picnic tables can be added if needed). The shelter is located close to the water which is ideal for watching your children play in the water. The rental rates for the Shelter are very reasonable, please see attached link for rates and pictures.

Meenan’s Cove Park – Meenan`s Cove Park (located at 199 Model Farm Road) is our most frequently visited park, offering a variety of amenities. There is a public beach with lifeguards on duty for the summer months as well as a canteen, changing rooms, boat launch, ball field, and beach volleyball courts.

The park also has a green area and playground for small children and a walking trail. The Meenan`s Cove Beach House, located on the water, is available for bookings and has a large deck, kitchen facilities, washrooms and propane fireplace. If you are interested in outdoor picnics and barbeques, several shelters and pits are located throughout the park and available to book.

Meenan’s Cove Playground – Meenan’s Cove Playground is a great place for kids to let of steam. Why not being them to the playground and watch the time fly as they have fun outdoors.

Meenan’s Cove Volleyball Courts – The Meenan’s Cove Volleyball courts are for public use and are also used by the Quispamsis Beach Volleyball League. For More information on the Quispamsis Beach Volleyball League please contact 849-5778 or email info@quispamsis.ca or for information after May 9 please contact activities@quispamsis.ca. Meenan’s Cove Beach – Meenan’s Cove Beach is one of the most popular beaches in the Kennebecasis Valley. The beach is will maintained and groomed during peak season. The beach is supervised from 12 -5pm daily from June 21 to Aug 24. The beach now has a new canteen service which is called “Awesome Sausage Canteen” and is open from 11am to 7pm daily until the end of August. Meenan’s Cove Beach House – Located at Meenan’s Cove Park the Meenan’s Cove Beach House is nestled on our beautiful Meenan’s Cove Beach. The facility is perfect for intimate gatherings, its ideal for weddings, meeting and family gatherings. The building is stocked with tables, chairs, dish ware, flat ware, and glasses enough for a formal place setting for 92 people. A summer wedding at this location is gorgeous. The sunsets over the Kennebecasis River are stunning and are perfect for wedding photos. The park has plenty of parking and the building will hold 92 people comfortably. The park also is home to a beautiful covered bridge which is a popular spot for wedding photos.

Meenan’s Cove Boat Launch – Used by Quispamsis and surrounding areas residence, the Meenan’s Cove Boat Launch is a perfect location for the recreational boater to launch their boat for the day. No overnight docking allowed at this location, day use only. Meenan’s Cove Park also has special boat trailer parking spaces for a vehicle and trailer.
Boaters can obtain their official Pleasure Craft Operator Card, commonly known as a Boating License or Boat Card, by successfully passing the BOATsmart! exam.

Meenan’s Cove Trails– the trails located at Meenan’s Cove Park are a short run from the covered bridge on Model Farm Rd to the beach and boat launch area. The scenic trail follows the shoreline and is an excellent spot to enjoy the outdoors and go for a stroll.

Meenan’s Cove Arbour – The Meenan’s Cove Arbour is located at the entrance of Meenan’s Cove Park. The shady wooden arbour is a beautiful landmark that is home to a variety of plants, vines and climbing trees. Such as grape vines, creeping thyme, hyacinth & astilbee just to name a few. This is a great location for family & company picnic’s. The arbour is also equipped with picnic table and charcoal bbq’s for public use.

Meenan’s Cove Ball Field – Meenan’s Cove Ball field is a great location for a family get together or company baseball game. This filed is occasionally booked out to our local baseball and softball leagues but also can be booked for special events. Please check with the Parks & Facilities Department before using the ball field.

Meenan’s Cove Covered Bridge – located on Model Farm Rd the Meenan’s Cove Covered Bridge is a popular location for pictures taking. Whether it be pictures for a weddings, graduations or family photos. The covered bridge comes to life in the spring and summer and is well maintained and landscaped by the Parks & Facilities Department.

Meenan’s Cove Canteen – Meenan’s Cove Canteen is now occupied with a new tenant. We are very excited to welcome “Awesome Sausage” to Meenan’s Cove. They are locally owned and a family run grill serving delicious hotdogs and sausages! Come and enjoy lunch with a view at Meenan’s Cove Beach. They serve Sausages, hotdogs, ice cream, freezes, popsicles, chips, chocolate bars, gum, pop, water, coffee & tea. They are open 7 days a week from 11am to 7pm.
