2026 Street Capital Upgrades program to begin week of June 1
The 2026 Street Capital Upgrades program is expected to get underway the week of June 1 in Quispamsis.
The proposed work is expected to include road resurfacing of all or portions of the streets identified, along with replacement of road cross culverts in poor condition, adjustment to road shoulders and minor ditch reshaping to improve local drainage. Collector roads may include or continue widened shoulders for Active Transportation purposes.

The following streets and areas have been identified for upgrades this year:
- Cambridge Avenue (Quispamsis Road to Grasmere Avenue)
- Elliot Road (Route 1 overpass to Corduroy Road)
- Colt Drive
- Pacer Drive
- Forrester’s Road
- Heather Street
- Sunny Lane
- Rivercrest Drive
- Jenkins Drive
- Antler Crescent
Note: This listing may be modified through the construction season to accommodate emergency repairs, additional opportunities or other unforeseen circumstances.
Other work, funded outside of the 2026 Street Capital Upgrades program, is scheduled for:
- Cedar Ridge Boulevard/Clarwood Drive – ongoing watermain installation
- Hampton Road (Campbell Drive/Pettingill Road to Pinewood Crescent)

Preliminary site work is expected to begin in the first week of June and run through late August or early September. Landscaping and driveways will be restored at the end of each project.
Road Construction Notices will be posted in the News and Notices section on the home page of our website. Subscribe to receive notices using a valid email address. Information will also be posted on our social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram.
Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays during the construction period. The contractor will make every effort to maintain one lane of traffic or ensure flag persons and appropriate signage will be on site to direct traffic through the construction area.
If construction prevents safe movement of motorists, cyclists and/or pedestrians, road closures may be required. In these cases, detour signage will be installed, and the public notified.
Residents are reminded that they are responsible for locating corner property pins at the street frontage as well as underground wire, such as power lines for electric dog fences or decorative lighting wires that pass in or near the ditch line or road shoulder. Residents should also mark out local drainage systems or drain tile outlets that tie to Town ditches and remove garbage bins and other items from the end of driveways prior to street construction work commencing.
