Gondola Point Road Scenic Active Transportation Corridor

Quispamsis is exploring how we can enhance Gondola Point Road to be a scenic and multi-modal transportation corridor for residents, visitors, and commuters. This means making it comfortable for drivers, pedestrians (including those using assistive devices like wheelchairs) and cyclists.

Gondola Point Road, currently a two-lane road with no pedestrian or cycling facilities, has the potential to better serve all users as a scenic multi-modal transportation route along the Kennebecasis River. As part of the town’s ongoing work through the Transportation Master Plan, Quispamsis is looking to explore opportunities for this popular corridor.

Before considering design options, the town wants to hear from community members. How do you currently travel on Gondola Point Road and what improvements would you like to see?

The public engagement is now open and will close in mid-October. A survey is available on the project website: www.speakupland.ca/gondola-point-road and a public event will be held at a later date for residents to provide input in person.

Later in the process, we will share the design options and seek additional community feedback to select a preferred design to refine into a detailed plan.
