Public Notice: Consideration of Enactment for By-Law No. 068 Respecting Council Code of Conduct

Quispamsis Town Council intends to consider enacting By-law No. 068; A By-law of the Municipality of Quispamsis Respecting Council Code of Conduct.

The proposed By-law No. 068 received first and second reading at the May 20, 2025 Regular Meeting and third and final reading will be considered by Council at the August 19, 2025 Regular Meeting.

The citizens and the taxpayers of the Town have the right to be served by a Council committed to conducting its service in an ethical, impartial, businesslike, and professional manner.

Quispamsis Council deems it necessary to establish a Council Code of Conduct to guide Members, reflecting the values of Quispamsis, its commitment to professional, accountable and lawful conduct, and its desire to provide strong local governance and leadership.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday August 19, 2025 at 6:00 p.m., in the council chambers of the Quispamsis Town Hall, 12 Landing Court, Quispamsis, New Brunswick. Residents can attend the meeting in person or access the Council meeting livestream.

The draft By-law may be reviewed in the Clerk’s office, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., exclusive of civic holidays.
