Quispamsis to receive more than $2 million to support drinking water infrastructure

Quispamsis has been announced as one of the first recipients of funding in Canada through the new Building Communities Strong Fund, a program of the Government of Canada.

On Tuesday, the Honourable Wayne Long, Secretary of State for Canada Revenue Agency and Financial Institutions, and Member of Parliament for Saint John–Kennebecasis, announced a federal investment of more than $2 million in a water distribution system expansion on Hampton Road to provide a safe and reliable supply of drinking water.

This work is expected to be part of the Reimagine Hampton Road project slated for tender in 2026, which would also include the installation of a multiuse path and a rebuilt, redesigned streetscape.
