Swearing-in ceremony for new Quispamsis Town Council May 25

A swearing-in ceremony for the new Quispamsis Town Council will be held on Monday, May 25, at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall.

This follows the results of the 2026 Local Government elections in New Brunswick.

The ceremony will feature Mayor-elect Mary Schryer being sworn in as the town’s new mayor and remarks from Schryer and outgoing Mayor Libby O'Hara. Seven Councillors-elect will also be sworn in: Emil Olsen, Beth Thompson, Kirk Miller, Kerrie Luck, Mike Biggar, Noah Donovan and Doug MacDonald.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the ceremony. It will also be streamed live on the town’s YouTube channel.

The first regular meeting of the new council is scheduled for Tuesday, June 16.
