KV Go

A Kennebecasis Valley trial transit option.

The municipalities of Quispamsis and Rothesay partnered in KV Go, a Demonstration Project that tested a new transit solution for the Kennebecasis Valley.

Between August and November 2025, KV Go provided free, daytime bus transportation to a limited number of key locations throughout the communities for a few months this summer and into the fall. It functioned as a "stop-to-stop" transit service on two (2) fixed routes during weekdays and one (1) fixed route on weekends.

The goal was to provide the framework for a long-term transit option for the Kennebecasis Valley, which would improve access for individuals and families in Quispamsis and Rothesay to run errands to grocery stores, banks, medical appointments, visit municipal parks and facilities, and other important services.

Riders were able to complete a survey outlining their experiences with the service, along with suggestions for improvement and ideas for future service options. This followed a pre-demonstration survey to garner interest in local public transit in the Kennebecasis Valley.

The Demonstration Project is now in the evaluation stage.

Non-Rider Survey

With the demonstration period now complete, both municipalities are seeking feedback from community members who did not ride the KV Go bus to better understand overall awareness, participation, and interest in local transit options.

The KV Go Non-Rider Survey takes approximately five minutes to complete and asks residents about their awareness of the project, reasons for not using the service, and thoughts on the future of local transit in the Kennebecasis Valley.

All responses will help Rothesay and Quispamsis evaluate the demonstration project and determine next steps for potential community transportation options.
