Councillor Beth Thompson

Councillor Beth Thompson is serving her seventh term as Councillor for the Town of Quispamsis.

She was first elected in 1997 as part of the Transitional Council who oversaw the amalgamation of the former Municipalities of Quispamsis, Gondola Point, and a portion of the Rothesay Parish.

Beth currently serves on the Town's finance committee.

She happily co-authored the history of Quispamsis entitled, “Quispamsis: A Historical Sketch,” which was published in November of 2008. Beth really enjoyed the gathering and editing of information and hopes that all residents enjoy the historical journey as much as she did.

Beth would like to see Quispamsis maintain its small-town identity while continuing to develop under the new Municipal Plan. She continues to act on her belief of community, commitment, and forward thinking.

Beth and her husband, Gerald, raised their two daughters in Quispamsis and are life-long residents of the area.
